STUDENT EVENTS
Thunder for a Day
We invite all 8th-grade students to visit campus and experience what it’s like to be a “Thunder for a Day”! During your visit, you’ll tour our campus, attend classes, meet current students and teachers, and get a true feel for life at St. James. Plus, lunch is on us!
This is the best way to see the spirit, community, and energy of St. James in action. Visits will begin in September and run through December.
Junior High Spirit Nights
Junior high students (6th–8th grade) are invited to experience the excitement of Thunder Nation at our Junior High Spirit Events—just for them! Come cheer on the teams, enjoy the fun, and get a taste of SJA pride. Students get in free—no ticket needed! Parents can purchase a ticket in advance on Bound.
SJA Football Tailgate
- Friday, Sept. 11 | Tailgate at 5:30 p.m. | Kick-off at 7:00 p.m.
- Registration deadline is Sept. 8 at noon.
- Arrive early and check in at the Admissions Table!
Parent Information Events
Not sure where to start? We recommend that parents attend a Parent Event while students join us for Thunder for a Day, giving everyone a chance to see St. James from their own perspective. Together, you’ll get a fuller picture of what your family’s St. James journey will look like.
If you’re just beginning to explore St. James, we recommend attending a Parent Information Session first. You’ll hear from our administration and get a comprehensive overview of our academics, faith, student life, and what makes St. James unique.
If you’d like to see those things in action, then Take a Look Tuesday is a wonderful next step. You’ll be on campus during the school day, tour classrooms, and experience the energy of our community firsthand.
Of course, you’re welcome to attend both! They complement one another without covering the same material.

Parents appreciate this look into a typical day on our campus. This is an opportunity for parents to learn more about St. James Academy’s mission and teaching philosophy, tour campus, and classrooms, and get details on the admissions process.

Please plan to spend at least one hour with us. Space is limited and registration is required.
Parent information Sessions
Hear from our Administration about our curriculum, how we integrate faith and mission into daily life, extracurricular opportunities, and our House/Community system. This is a great way to learn more about how St. James supports the whole student.
