DOESN’T TUITION COVER ALL EXPENSES?
Tuition and parish subsidy revenue covers 91% of the school’s operating budget. St. James Academy relies on annual, unrestricted giving to help cover the difference between tuition, parish support and the actual cost of educating each student. These funds are critical to advancing our mission as a school community.
Why not set tuition high enough to cover expenses?
- Higher tuition might keep some parents from enrolling their children. We want to make a St. James Academy education available to as many people as possible, regardless of their socioeconomic status.
- Contributions to the Call For Thunder are tax-deductible.
If I can only make a small gift, does it really make an impact?
Why does my participation matter?
Participation matters because many foundations only fund schools that demonstrate wide support by their own parents and alumni. Your participation is a demonstration of your commitment to the school and a sign of St. James Academy’s strength of community.
How can I make a gift?
